The client challenges us to come up with something extremely outstanding that would persuade the owner of the leased site in the first meeting. The location is atop the nine-story Meander hostel, and the owner wishes to bring a fancy item there as a part of Meander's system.
The concept is a "cocktail on tap" restaurant and bar, a new type of cocktail in HCM City. For this project, the arrangement of tables and chairs is not a wise choice. The architects decided to propose a flow from "tap" that embraces the entire space. This indicates that all of the seating is integrated into the flows. The main open time of the day is in the evening when the flows are floating and illuminated by their footprints, giving the idea of the flows a characteristic appearance in the night sky. Regarding his building, the owner approved these flows.
Because our client works in the graphic design industry, he typically wishes to encourage young local artists by featuring their work in his business. When we first meet the artist, he describes to us his most recent piece, a tiger visualization. We were attracted by a tiger that has grown up on the reactance grass field with a variety of diverse components that are not in accordance with the guidelines. He explains that the concept is to make the tiger more friendly and funny to people rather than using strong Vietnamese symbols for tigers, and he characterizes it by using parts of the tiger rather than the full body.
The concept of tigers will spread all through the bar, sneaking into the seating flows. We decided to let the flows develop into a light background because the artwork is so strong. We apply the stainless metal tiger-piece while keeping the raw cement material from the flow. The essential mood is provided by the stainless steel tap area and the colorful tiger element. The flows combine multiple levels of seating spaces to determine capacity for a variety of group sizes. Customers pick a cozy spot and are amazed by the artwork right next to where they are sitting.
