This project transforms an existing commercial space into a dynamic and visually compelling environment, where design becomes a powerful tool of spatial branding. The client’s need for a strong, recognizable identity guided a concept that merges aesthetic innovation with acoustic functionality, crafting a workplace that communicates presence and purpose from within and without.
The oblong proportions of the interior presented a spatial challenge, demanding a meticulous rethinking of both flow and partitioning. Instead of rigid separations, the design introduces a flexible choreography of volumes and voids. The reception area is defined not by solid walls but by a dialogue of risers and a visually permeable storage element. This architectural gesture allows the two adjacent office workstations to remain visually connected to the front office, creating a sense of openness and collaboration, while still affording the necessary privacy to foster focused work. Here, boundaries dissolve into thresholds—fluid transitions that blur the line between enclosure and continuity.
At the heart of the project lies the suspended ceiling, a striking architectural feature that redefines the spatial experience. Its segmented yet fluid geometry disrupts the linear monotony of the original layout, introducing rhythm and movement. More than a formal exercise, the ceiling performs a dual function: it transforms the visual perception of the space while enhancing its acoustic qualities. By fragmenting and softening the sound waves that would otherwise reverberate across the room, this sculptural surface achieves a harmonious balance between auditory comfort and visual dynamism. The interplay of form and function imbues the space with a sense of rhythm, a silent symphony of curves and angles that invites the eye to wander and discover.
The ceiling was meticulously modeled in three dimensions to ensure precision, transforming design intent into a buildable reality. Each segment, crafted from plasterboard panels with a total thickness of 10 centimeters, was custom cut, shaped, and mounted on metal frameworks before being seamlessly finished on-site. This marriage of digital precision and artisanal execution speaks to the spirit of architectural craftsmanship, where technology and materiality converge in a poetic expression of form.
Through its fluid partitions and sculptural overhead plane, the project transcends conventional notions of office design. It becomes a place where architecture articulates identity—a spatial manifesto that resonates with character, movement, and clarity.
