The main thing in redesigning M17 CAC is the change of it’s shell, the skin of the building. It was important to give a new visual representation to a well known brand and to connect it to traditions of Ukrainian avant-garde.

The newly created shell of M17 is based on a combination of "museum" minimalism with modern methods of computational design. Consequently, the basis of the formation of the pattern is laid in 45-degree-rotated square, which is a reference to the existing and recognizable windows of the building and to the Ukrainian Suprematist artist Kazimir Malevich,
who was born close to the CAC recent location, studied painting at the art school of Murashka at the Pymonenko studio and taught at the Kyiv Art Institute. . Only the square scale varies on the facade pattern, allowing pixelated representation of the identity and other graphic geometry.
The perforated galvanized panels of the facade are highlighted at night and make the image of the building look perfect.
The identity is aimed to make M17 more visually recognizabil using simplicity of graphical representation and its combination with typical patterns of Ukrainian avant-garde.
