Luyser residential complex is located on Leningradyan street. The complex got its name from the architectural solutions given to the buildings and the space as a whole. The openness creates the opportunity for an ample amount of natural light to fill the complex and the apartments. We designed everything around the idea of nurturing streams of natural light into the apartments, this is why the the buildings feature large windows and extensive balconies aligned along the perimeters of the building. Each balcony has a different shape and size for each floor, which dictates a special layout for each apartment and results in a dynamic visual for the building as a whole. The buildings feature energy-efficient materials, greenery on the balconies and roofs, landscaping, and water features, which control the complex’s microclimate and converts each structure into a living building. The creases on the facades not only provide aesthetic significance, but also act as a solution to hide engineering communications and infrastructure, they can also be used as storage spaces for the residents. The roof-terrace has an unobstructed view of Mt. Ararat, and will serve as an area for residents to rest and hold events.
