Yantram Studio presents a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional Saudi Arabian Majlis, designed as separate yet harmonious spaces for male and female gatherings. The project balances cultural heritage with modern architectural language, creating refined interiors that honor Saudi hospitality traditions while embracing global luxury design standards.
The design focuses on spatial symmetry, layered lighting, premium materials, and a restrained color palette to elevate the majlis beyond conventional living room typologies into a ceremonial yet intimate social environment.
The majlis is conceived as a hospitality-centered architectural space, where circulation, seating geometry, and lighting hierarchy define the user experience.
Rather than relying on ornamental excess, the project employs:
Architectural wall paneling with vertical rhythm
Soft indirect cove lighting integrated into ceiling recesses
Symmetrical furniture composition
Marble and wood material contrast
Contemporary crystal chandeliers as spatial anchors
The result is a space that feels dignified, welcoming, and culturally grounded.
