Situated on the eastern side of the LuxeLake Master Plan, the Y-5 site sets the tone as the architectural crown jewel for the Eastern LuxeLake District. Inspired by the noted European hill towns, such as Siena Italy or the Creek Island of Santorini, the Y-5 site design is inspired by the surrounding beautiful hills/valley and expansive meadow park and the distant views of the lakes. The hierarchy of the iconic architectural forms and the permeability of the landscape allows for flow - “Qi” to weave the “Hill Town” and the surrounding landscape together. In addition, the siting of the architecture is carefully “grounded” in the landscape to merge the private open spaces to the surrounding community parks and trails amenities; the landscape flow around the architecture also maximize the vistas and breath of the residents within the community.
The “DNA” of each residential unit is also the basis of the intricacy and complexity of the building form. Compositionally, the mid-rise building establishes a substantial landscape base to the project, while the lower iconic tower establishes the project gateway and the seemingly diminutive taller tower punctuate the pinnacle of the entire development. Like a fine art sculpture in the landscape, the massing and bulk of the entire project is carefully sculpted to “repose” or “pose” in context with the landscape. In keeping with the pastoral nature, the material expression of the building will be more natural masonry at the base, and lighter and airy for the towers. The unique design truly delivers the luxury version of the “pastoral Villa in the Sky”!
