This new restaurant in Melbourne’s Little Collins Street was crafted into the ground level shell of an existing brick commercial complex. The concept took inspiration from post-war Australia’s suburban Italian vernacular, with a simplicity and honesty that compliments the traditional and familiar menu. Clean hardy surfaces are offset by the tactility and character of soft timber, rattan and macramé rope installations. The open planning allows daylight to flood the corner site throughout the day, and dynamic soft lighting fills the dining room with warmth during the evening.
