Lucorja Retirement Community is a project focused on serving the retired baby boomer population when they are unable to continue caring for themselves. The community is designed around a large central park with all homes facing the park. The park promotes walking activities and beauty for the residents of the community. The community accommodates residents with specific needs including alzheimer's disease, assisted living, independent living, employee housing, and low-income community housing for the surrounding community. The model is based on family oriented scale to allow residents to live in a dwelling with a maximum of 6 other residents to enhance individual care among residents in a family-like atmosphere as they age in honor.
