The law firm LTS - Dr. Besche situated in
Herford for about 10 years has got a need for expansion at the existing
location. It should develop additional office space in connection to the
existing building. The demand is approximately 20 additional offices, and
archive space.
The concept envisages the insolvency
department which is currently located in the building distributed, completely
housed in the extension to the freed up space for the expansion of the
accounting departments to take advantage of tax and legal advice. This results
in short distances and the individual sections are not divided between two
buildings at various levels and mixes. Both buildings are connected by a glass
and thus independent of the weather link corridor. The new building has got an approximately
square base, with an option for expansion to the east direction. The resulting
compact building can be a cost to implement them. The new building has 22
single and double offices for the insolvency department, and a daily archive
for the current cases in the 1st floor and a very large archive of room for
investigation in the basement.
The gross floor area of square meters is
1211 including the basement.
The main access is via the extension of
the existing building and therefore the chiral-centered application. The
extension is assigned a "side entrance" which is accessible from the
parking lot and is a further extension in the center of the new building. The extension is oriented in their height,
width and materiality of the existing building. By creating formal and modern
minimal architecture, however, she gets a design re-specific independence.
The large glass areas ensure the
individual offices a light-filled workplace. The heat and sun protection is
provided by external vertical case, awnings, and an under-supportive,
mechanical conditioning of the air. The naturally lit, open floor space with
kitchenette and sitting area is communication and recreation area of the new
building.
