A three layers strategy, which enables
different levels of privacy and social behaviors: public, communitarian and
private. To achieve this spatial stratification we
use a 4,5 x 4,5 x 4,5m module, established by the subdivision of the original
grid, which will configure heights, separations and ultimately the house’s
volumes, as well as a spatial element, the stair. Our is a ‘volume and stair
exercise’, developed within a three-dimensional grid. The apparent rigidity of
the grid and its limits is dematerialized: in the public level by integrating a
natural topography and elements, such as circular decentralized pillars and
trees, between public and communitarian spaces. “Technique and nature” applied
so the public ground level becomes a fluid, almost diaphanous, space. Communitarian level is configured by
extensions made to house’s volumes, which also dematerialize the grid limits as
well as creates other less rigid ones, with the employ of deploye. This way, we intersect rigid platonic
geometries with natural causality, of the imperfect and mutable. Nature is
converted in industrial and industrial in nature.
Also using the referred module we create
the volumes that configure houses plus the private level. Houses are configured
by addition of these cubes within a tridimensional grid - wish allows its
rotation - in order to provoke higher interior spaces, double height spaces and
singular views of the exterior as well as escalation of houses. Houses are
placed symmetrically within the grid. This way, and because of an accurate
placing of openings, each house as unique views that never gets crossed.
The interior is a cadency of space bubbles developed
with the stair element. Spaces are not necessarily a sole entity or serve a
unique use. Thus the interior is intended to be one, fluid and continuous
