Manning Architects was part of a team of professionals asked to record and evaluate damages to the exterior of the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, following Hurricane Katrina.
Manning Architects was later chosen to lead a team of consultants in the renovation of the entire exterior of the airport facility. The majority of the work included the replacement of the metal roof systems at Concourses C and D and the Parabola, the replacement of modified bitumen roof systems at the main and West Terminals, and the repair or replacement of various exterior items throughout the facility, including metal wall panels, exterior glazing and curtain wall systems, and mechanical and electrical items. As team leader, Manning Architects was tasked with the coordination of all the involved disciplines, including structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering, forensic roof investigation, and cost estimation.
