The pure merits and wisdom contained in lotus is regarded as a ‘sacred object’ in Buddhism. It symbolises the oriental culture, quietness, joy, detachment and smile. It is a western restaurant, yet it is one with oriental architectural aesthetics as its carrier. The eastern and western cultures are in harmony in this space, and the Zen-mindedness and the self-cultivation complement each other here. This creative space, set the theme as lotus, has been boldly and creatively designed to fully integrate the ultimate oriental aesthetics into this western restaurant, making this western restaurant named after “Lian (Lotus)”. It creates an extraordinary atmosphere in the restaurant – the moment the customers entrer, they will feel like entering a place full of mysteries.
