The corner house on the Yves Kermen square is in
a position of
articulation, as border between worlds. That of an established urban morphology, the rhythms of the city, from walking
around, that of change, of a territory
to become a landscape
marked by new office
buildings, homes and gardens leading
to the new park. Our
project collects stories, became a landmark
for the neighborhood, a hybrid building, empathize
with his identity. The building
tells this story, that of a human landscape, from factories and warehouses drawing
"field sheets" to the urban gardens of
a city building nature. Two identities meet, mingle
as inseparable: The minerality of writing
a new urban centrality
of active, dense,
mixed, and that of the milky skin of façades,
and that of a vertical
landscape revealing a natural
setting near. In this landscape,
stacked townhouses unveil a new way of living, pleasures, transparencies, or manufactures
a landscape architecture between artifice and
nature. In the bark and milky porous
mineral mass, urban gardens grow between the volumes of the building. Our proposal
builds on the idea of a habitat
as the staging of
a buried desire, living in a tree house, a building made of
precious cabins: workers,
gardens, beach along
the Seine, of taverns...
