Set on a pristine hillside overlooking both mountains and valley beyond, this design integrates a primary residence and guest flat into coexistence both with one another and the landscape. The primary residence offers expansive down valley views in conjunction with more intimately scaled and sheltered outdoor spaces. A separate primary suite annex is connected by a glass enclosed walkway that allows for full transparency through the house, and allowing the home’s residents to take in their view as they travel from one end to the other. A minimal material palette of dark stained timbers unifies the different programs and zones of the house into simple and coherent architectural form that highlight the various viewing areas in the house.
