The open space of Trafalgar Square is the starting point of our proposal, being a no-construction urban space we see this opportunity to imagine how would a ‘building’ could sit confortably in the squre. We propose a pavilion with a house shape inside a fence placed in the middle of Trafalgar Square. The program is distributed in 2 floors, the ground floor incorporates the information area, the souvenir space and the café, on the 2nd floor there’s an interior esplanade and technical areas under the sloped roof (water services). The exterior fence is self-supporting and made with recycled wood profiles, the pavilion wood structure is clad with cork tiles painted white. The perimeter of the wood fence extends to support two wide screen displays. As a result the little pavilion with its enviromentally conscious materials becames a plataform on wich to repose, watch the games and look out over the surroundings.
