A slope stabilization and flood resilience master plan for the development of 13 residential lots in Kuta, Lombok, Indonesia. The project entails an 80% investment return with an approximate cost of $379,000. We anticipated and managed climate-related risks, including large seismic events, landslides, flooding, and strong winds. Land was retained to mitigate landslides, expanding project value by 10%. We quantified precipitation volume, wind speeds, soil composition, and drilled boreholes to assess foundation needs. The following steps were taken to ensure sustainable development: Stabilized walls with concrete mortar, sand, and exterior high-strength steel mesh; left the slope intact to allow water absorption, runoff, and collection, optimizing plant growth; added concrete linings in the bend to prevent soil erosion due to water runoff; stiffened the soil and added a rock buttress to stabilize and tilt the interior road; added gutters connecting the road and concrete linings, achieving a resilient drainage system; and, elevated boardwalks to ensure safe mobility during floods, increasing drainage capacity by 50%.
