The Tulees are a large scale installation for the auditorium in the new David and Reva Logan Arts Center, at the University of Chicago. This fixture is a collaboration between the architects, Tod Williams and Billie Tsien, the lighting designer, Richard Renfro, and Studio 1Thousand.
The Tulees are two 70 foot sconces, custom made out of 1600 individually replaceable stems. This system is fully DMX dimmable, UL certified, and illuminates the whole auditorium with 400 watts of power.
