Perspective
The leading motive of the design is the perspective city view.
The funnel like window scuncheon increase the by the building control limited external dimensions and create enlarged views. The interface of the interior and the exterior gets materialized and staged.
Luminary
A skylight was added to the inner bathroom.
The incidence of light is staged trough a monumental luminary that is at the same time a weightless light tent.
Referring to James Turrell’s light rooms there is nothing else to see but light. A thorough level of detail disperses the light dome and its opening technique – even in an open state.
During darkness a covered light strip indirectly lights the luminary.
Format
The extended top floor was freed from the inner walls and the door lintels. The bathroom creates an inner core where kitchen, living and dining room group without thresholds.
The square as an overall format for all apertures connects the single rooms of the flat.
