This loft is located in the suburbs of Vienna, where at the beginning of 20th century many industrial enterprises where located. This building was one of the first reinforced concrete constructions in Vienna and not destroyed during WWII or demolished later. After the end of production in the late 1980ies , the building was converted for residential purposes and artists' studios.
It was a common idea of the customer and the architect to retain the character of this generous space. The idea was implementation with furniture, glass partitions and open space functions combined with interesting visual links to allow smooth transition of areas. This design allows easy future changes in layout and functions to the requirements of the customer.
