This beautiful area of over 150 square meters in via Margutta, nestled within one of the most beautiful and characteristic Roman courtyards, housed offices. The client asked us to rearrange the rooms to turn it into a luxury house. We have created in the first level a large living area, dominated by a staircase which has been completely redesigned and transformed into an important architectural element: the base of the stairs, which corresponds to the first three steps, is a large podium that can accommodate items of furniture, while the remaining steps make up a large library container. Behind the seating area on the same level, are placed a large table design, the bathroom and a kitchen designed as a closed block. The upper floor houses the bedroom, with the master bathroom and a small furnished terrace. To maintain a sense of openness of the space, but at the same time to ensure the privacy of the bedroom, we imagined a large slatted wooden structure that wraps around the upper floor, allowing a game I see/I do not see that allows the view of the living area from the upper floor, but without being fully exposed.
