The Project is a Medical Breathing and Respiratory Supply Store in MAC Hospital, Puebla.
The main idea is to generate three new spaces with natural lighting trough a roofing game. With less than 30M2 and just one window the client specifies the need of having one small office, a tiny bathroom, and a main sales area. The Architect places both service areas at the bottom of the store so it creates an open space next to the corridor that works as the Medical Breathing and Respiratory Supply Store.
To create the feeling of depth ZD Architecture proposes a matte black floor that becomes a wall but also the roof inside the area. The office has two different heights to ensure natural lighting trough a small window and to guarantee daylight in the sales area throughout a window above the black roof. The bathroom, which hides under this elegant black plane, illuminates itself via a skylight next to the primary window.
The project seeks spatial tension by color contrast. Both service areas have black luminaries even though the walls are white and the main sales area lights are white in comparison with the grand black floor.
