A 4' x 4' scale model of the Llanfyllin Valley, including the village itself and the historic Workhouse. The Workhouse, one of the best preserved examples remaining in the UK, wants to preserve its future by embracing an eco-friendly cultural centre.To check feasibility for such an endeavour, I was part of a small group of students who visiting and surveyed the site and proposed alterations. With a fellow student I built this model which was tested in Europe's largest Heliodon and Artificial sky with a Megatron Light Meter to analyse solar gains and the effectiveness of Solar Energy on the site.
