The master plan for this existing church north of Houston incorporates the addition of a 600 seat sanctuary, offices, gymnasium and a renovation of the existing facility into an elementary school. The site is organized around a church yard, which preserves the existing wooded environment that defines the area, and the sanctuary, planned about a true east-west axis. The office block links the elementary school with the sanctuary and is treated as a porous zone between yard and entry. The sanctuary occupies a zone that is distinct from the other buildings emphasizing its sacred nature.
