In recent years, with the development of urbanization and resettlement, the number of vacant houses and courtyards in villages has gradually increased, attracting nearby workers from delivery and logistics industries as new tenants. The "Rider's House" project adopts a "micro-renovation" approach to build a complete residential community and form a diverse townscape, creating a warm home and haven for busy riders.
Through researching the living conditions of local residents and the current situation of riders, this project analyzes their basic characteristics and working hours, creating rental housing projects and living spaces suitable for both local residents and tenants. In response to the professional features of riders, the project designs parking spaces and sufficient charging stations for vehicles. The project also focuses on building a positive mental state for the tenants. The stress relief room and psychological counseling area would help grassroots workers face the pressure of work and life positively.
To build an environmentally friendly living environment, the project adopts a low-carbon building envelope with photovoltaics and a prefabrication method. Through building renovation, road paving, and plantation, the overall environment of the village has been improved.
During the renovation of vacant houses, the project not only takes into account the living needs of "one room, one bed" for new citizens but also provides convenient and warm living space for grassroots workers, enhancing their sense of happiness and belonging.
