Fernandes Arquitetos was responsible for the architecture, landscaping and visual communication projects of Imigrantes Station, which belongs to Line 2 (Green) of São Paulo Metrô. It is a surface station, installed close to a viaduct and that runs parallel to the tracing of an avenue. It is structured over a 136-m central platform and has accesses by parallel tracks, which have operational and technical rooms beside them, in addition to staircases that lead to the platform level.
The station highlights include the preference for entrance of natural lighting and ventilation. Its coverage is structured by metallic gantries (19 meters), spaced each other (at every 6.80 meters) and with no side closure, which favors the total venting of the platform. It also has central opening made of laminated glass only, with no sashes, which runs along the entire platform extension and provides natural lighting.
