RESTAURANT – Liguria, AlassioSurface 160 mqAn old workshop perched high up on the hills rising steeply behind Alassio, a well-know resort on the Ligurian coast, has been entirely rebuilt in order to house this establishement. Thus the splendid position on the old building, which overlooks the bay, has obviously heavily influenced the choises made in relation to its renovation. The distinctly longitudinal orientation of the layout has led to the functions being redistributed sequentially; the kitchen in followed by the dining-room and then the large terrace, where food i salso served in the summer months. A staircase leards from the central room to the lower level, where a large service area has been built. Although, along the whole lenght of the dining-room, large windows provide a magnificent view of the sea from all tables, the interior design tends to eschew the seaside theme in favor of a more sophisticated setting.Project by Paolo Frello and Carlo Taglioretti Photo by Andrea Martiradonna
