I was asked by a group of 7 students to consult on the conception and fabrication of an architectural installation for local coffee shop. This particular student project asked students to find a client willing to accept and install a design proposal and fabrication while working with them during the design process. This project also asked students to find donated material and transform this everyday waste material in some cases, into a beautiful architectural artifact that can be constructed, installed and remain in the clients venue. The project time line gave students only 6 weeks to undertake design and fabrication. It was imperative that students seek out help for this project. This group specifically wanted my expertise on parametric and advanced geometry skills via the Grasshopper software. In addition I gave advice on fabrication methods and design-development during the very early stages of their process - I used grasshopper to expedite their design process and become a force multiplier, allowing them to design, fabricate and install the project in 2 months.
