This lifeguard facility for the City of El Segundo combines both necessary amenities and training for their staff, while serving as a modern beacon along the coastline. Designed with durability in mind, the building is constructed of splitface concrete block, a zinc standing seam roof and solid phenolic wall panels. The roof form is meant to mimic a bird taking flight and the colors of the walls panels represent the beautiful ocean they overlook.
