This project is located in the Lixia District of Jinan, Shandong Province, surrounded by cultural, educational and creative commercial resources. As one of the eight venues of the cultural and archives centre, the library occupies the 2nd to 4th floors on the southwest of the centre.

"As an iconic urban cultural building, we hope to create a centre that gathers local residents," said designers Vantree Design. "The library provides a place for residents to develop good reading habits, facilitates them to carry out various social, cultural, entertainment, and sports activities, and builds a sharing community."

The design allows the bookcase to extend along the wall and creates a new type of library with high ceilings and open reading and rest space, so as to achieve a real shared community.
