The building is located in the centre of Lixouri city. The lot’s south side abuts to municipal road, while north, east and west sides contact neighboring plots. The surrounding area is residential and is characterized by dense structure, small lots and narrow streets. The residence is a two storey building (ground floor, first floor) with auxiliary spaces (basement and attic).

The designing concept is about combining the contemporary architectural standards with the local morphological characteristics in order to achieve a dynamic building presence.

The, what it seems as, independent curved element of the facade acts as a “perforated screen”, providing the house with more privacy, while open spaces such as balconies, terrace are protected from direct exposure to external factors.

Other than the appropriate building-permission studies, the team executed comprehensive studies of interior design, color and material selection.
