FZAD is pleased to announce the completion of the Leviev Jewelry Store and US offices in 698-700 Madison Avenue. A collaboration with concept designer Wells Macakerath in designing a US version of their Flagship store in Bond Street in London, England. The interesting part of this address was that it was actually two different clients ( Leviev & Kentshire Galleries)and two different projects happening at two different times. FZAD convinced both clients during the design process to collaborate to build a new uniform storefront that would complement the scale of the building the uniformity of the façade. At first both tenants who had also different designers, Sally Mackareth for Leviev and Joanne DePalmo for Kentshire involved wanted to have “their own” storefront. Through collaboration with the commission and conversations with both tenants, their designers, the presidents of each company, FZAD convinced all parties that one uniform façade would have more integrity than separate storefronts. “Leviev” was developed by diamantaire, philanthropist, and billionaire, Lev Leviev who is recognized as the controller of the world’s largest private diamond mines. The brand will feature the world’s most unique stones including large and rare diamonds. The Leviev brand according to European sources was launched on April 24, 2008 with the sponsorship of the Russian Rhapsody Gala Event in London. Kentshire owned by two gentlemen, Frederic Imberman and Robert Israel specialize in high end antique 17th-19th century furnishings and jewelry. Their renowned collections of Queen Anne, Georgian and Regency periods of furniture and jewelry are unsurpassed in the design world.
