Alvin Reinhard Fritz Architect Inc. was approached by Lethbridge College to undertake a renovation to the Centre for Health, Justice, & Human Services administration offices, which were located on the 2nd floor level of the Paterson Building on the Lethbridge College Campus. The renovation was to include the addition of four new offices, the relocation and enlargement of the copier room, re-worked reception / workspace area, new energy efficient reflective lighting, improvements in office acoustics, new entrance to the corridor, and the addition of new HVAC ducts. The budget for the project was $100,000 and to be completed in a three to four month project schedule.Alvin Reinhard Fritz Architect Inc. worked within the budget by re-utilizing existing doors / door frames, existing ceiling finishes, and floor finishes and only finishing new as required. An construction phase plan was created to manage the college staff working in that space and construction.Nyhoff Construction started the demolition / construction work in October, and was completed at the in December, with the College taking full control of the space by early January 2010. The final outcome was a much improved working environment for the staff, and that is integrated and compliments the balance of the campus.
