The programme for this competition won in collaboration with the José Pasqua Architecte agency provides for the rehabilitation of the base of the Cathédrale de la Major in Marseille and its transformation into shops. The site completes the promenade linking the old port to the cathedral via Euroméditerranée and the site of the future MUCEM currently under construction and designed by Rudy Ricciotti. The low-key programme respects the cathedral’s heritage by using black and white stone finishes echoing those of the Major Basilica.
