LES RESIDENCES CHOCOLAT
Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire
High-end residential compound comprised of 14 townhouses and 18 apartments, introducing new dwelling concepts to the city of Abidjan.
With a total of 32 units per hectares, the notion of densification here was key, an important element being to put an emphasis on the notion of common space. To so, we decided to forbid cars from the heart of the compound, creating instead a central boardwalk with the integration of an underground parking. Therefore freeing 57% of the space… for jogging, roller skating and private gardens. The courtyard, abundantly planted serves to preserve the buildings from sun rays and creates a micro climate and eco-friendly environment.
