A study of Opposition between the free form of the exhibit hall and the rectilinear nature of the supporting spaces, and the dynamic relationship between the volumes. Corresponding to the life cycle of a butterfly, the building begins at a pedestrian scale and grows to include the lobby and exhibit hall. Through the axial nature of the plan, the user experiences a progression of growth that culminates in the exotic glass exhibit hall, representative of the mature stage. The subsequent abrupt end is signified by the compressed, smaller-scaled amenities at the north end of the project.
