Set with the desert landscape as its backdrop, the majlis extension is a regal structure with its rich interiors yet subdued in its external appearance. Resembling the desert dunes, the majlis is an elliptical structure that hugs the terrain. Oriented according to nature’s influences, an entry circular plaza with geometric mosaic floor patterns brings attention towards the arched entrance. Water features recreate an oasis neatly tucked behind the dune silhouette of the majlis.
Internally, the glass façade filtered by the geometric patterns of the mashrabiya enhances the visual connection of the landscaped gardens and the desert background to the interiors. The internal areas with its cavernous hall provide sitting areas create the ideal setting to discuss the matters of the day.
