This design narrative has been developed for the Construction of Residential Building at Malaybalay City, Bukidnon for the Ledesma family. Based on this design all physical and environmental attributes are being considered in a well organized manner. The design basically suits with latest technology and aspects in residential construction specifically in Bukidnon where greeneries and culture are abundant.
We were delighted to have been commissioned over a number of other local practices to design a new contemporary house on a challenging sites in Philippines especially in the province of Bukidnon, we are particularly passionate and excited about the design opportunities here and have presented our initial feasibility proposals to the client which as the images illustrate incorporates tempered glazed glass windows and wall panels, vaulted first floor spaces with south/north facing natural lights and walls in render, stone clad to complement the existing house on the site.
The Residential building is a single-phase project located on a site that offers tremendous southern exposure of the majestic Bukidnon greeneries. The floor plan is organized around an exterior landscaped garden and two-story ‘street/front porch’ along the garden that functions as the main entrance corridor. The building design is a blend of contemporary/craftsman styles that provide a residential scale, interest, and warmth. Conceptual planning and design approach “House in a Box” a modern contemporary architecture best observed in modern residential design in United States, Europe, Middle East and Asia. In Philippines, most Architects and designers are slowly adapting the design due to the fact that modern contemporary houses are not prone to never ending house design concepts unlike Mediterranean designed houses.
