An Academic Research Centre is usually expected to be dull and boring with stacks of research material and a somber environment. This project set out to change that notion when the client approached us. The brief was to make a Research office and a Business Centre as an extension to the two floors of an existing Head Office that we designed previously.
The vision was to create an office that would be contemporary with free-flowing spaces, panoramic views of the interiors, and a young and vibrant workspace. With the dexterous use of materials, customization, and an ergonomic spatial planning, the design was able to far exceed the expectations of our client.
The office was designed in two separate wings- one for the research team and one as a Business Centre and Cafeteria. A major extent of the furniture in the office space was designed in house by the firm to provide an enhanced, bespoke user experience.
