Beginning in 2015, Land Morphology led the development of a strategic master plan for Leach Botanical Garden, a 16-acre garden for the City of Portland Parks & Recreation. Located in southeast Portland, the $31 million project will help realize a botanical garden in this portion of the city.
Since development of the master plan, Land Morphology led Phase 1 implementation, which is nearing completion. The $10M Phase 1 includes a 400’ long elevated tree walk, a new network of forest trails, a pollinator meadow, parking enhancement, and civil infrastructure for future phases. Restrooms and a fireside terrace area for gathering are also features of Phase 1. Land Morphology is the prime consultant for the project.
