My name is Pavko Krajka, and I am the interior designer from Gdańsk/Poland.
Last season I had an occasion to design and build the small apartment for rent in central and old Paris the 5th ( corner of Rue Mouffetard and Rue Edouard Quenu )
It was only 32m² situated at the 4 etage in old XVIII century house.
There was no any renovation in last 80 years.
Under the linoleum on the floor I have found the full issues of Le Petit Parisien magazine edition original from 1935/1936 which was working as a kind of filter layer below.
Also I have found the 500 francs Pascal bill.
Because of that story, I decided to call this small apartment 'Le Petit Parisien' and use old daily magazines as a wallpaper in the special place in the bedroom.
Because this space was designed as a flat for rent, and because low budget, mostly I was concentrated on function, and focused on 'kind of Parisian style' for the best impressions.
Also I used after carefully cleaning original red tomette on the floor.
After ceilings stripping, a nice surprise was waiting : the original oak beams in very good condition which I decided to show painted in the light color.
The shower tray I found carved out of the black stone of Egypt, with polished edges.
It was a big fun to design all furniture/storages original, where one door is for a storage space and another are as the bathroom entrance.
the tiles which I used in bathroom are the same as on every metro station in Paris.
I have no web site yet, only facebook: facebook.com/pavvko
all photos was taken by me.
I look forward for your contact.
Kind Regards,
Pavko
