The project consists in renovating and extending the Val-de-Reuil multimedia library. The particularity of this building, designed in the 1970s, is its programme combining cultural amenities and housing. While respecting its original design, the project aims to clearly separate these two functions. The glass and steel façade created on the Place au Jeunes square marks the entrance to the new multimedia library over which a translucent cantilevered box has been fitted out as a reading room. Two large glass doors lying perpendicular to the building are positioned to act as banners announcing whether the library is open or closed to the public.
