BELAROÏA (jewel in Occitan) is a major operation of the New Saint-Roch ZAC: this new complex will house a 4* hotel and a 3* hotel, 12 exceptional accommodations and a brasserie, 300 meters from the Opéra Comédie and in front of the Saint-Roch station. It’s a bold project, innovative and contemporary, in the historic heart of Montpellier. The building embodies with force the urban and architectural ambition for the development of the Nouveau Saint-Roch district by the developer SERM and the City of Montpellier. Its envelope is composed of white metal facings that lighten and perforate over the floors, giving an effect of transparency and lightness.
The project is conceived as a true «urban lounge», a meeting place between the users of the building itself and the travelers. The project develops as a writing of simple and clear materials, with a wealth of textures and graphics reminiscent of historic buildings located around the site.
