Lopez Cotilla Street in Guadalajara, México, is a very important gastronomic and entertainment corridor, making the business there to open to the streets to become social showcases, losing all privacy very often.
LC Bar graduates privacy through a perforated steel filter which appears to be solid from the outside and transparent from the inside, having as well the option to open completely to merge the bar with the street. In addition to the privacy filter, the permeable material allows the building to ventilate at the time it protects the users from the sun.
The wooden lattice that gives integrity to the project becomes the counter-bar that matches a bar made of a huge single piece log that lies over a concrete wall.
The tables were designed exclusively for the project following its materiality. The custom made street furniture gives this crowded street a small public place to enjoy by the natural shadow of tree.
