The project starts from an image of a breakwater that represents the relationship between man and sea. The waterfront is the meeting point between the sea and the land. Hence, the man has stones, natural elements, which protect him from nature itself but are of diverse character. The STONE is also the traditional material for the construction of Laxe. It is the traces of the Celts who have left in it their mythological symbols and their houses that blend with the natural rock on which they are standing.
Stone is the church of Laxe, the apse of which is visible from the village as a series of prisms supported each other vertically on a horizontal slot. The project consists of a natural cluster of stones that form part of a natural landscape that connects the beach with the urban fabric. The system expands to the square of volunteerism; recreating abstract compositions in the paving and street furniture.
