The future of teaching is quickly becoming about individuality. Imagine if a classroom fle(x)ed with these needs by using a kit-of-parts to create endless configurations of personalization, organization, and adaptability. All you have to do is imagine the possibilities. Built from recycled materials and planned for future reuse the modular learning system takes what teachers want and what students need into an environment that can be reimagined nearly every day. Organization, storage, and safety all come with the ability to make the space your own. We are reimagining the learning environment. Imagine a kit-of-parts which can be used in any school and every classroom according to the needs of students and teachers. Hexagonal layouts offer the student/teacher more flexibility as every surface can be used for instruction. This is due to the fact that all the walls are centrally focused. Standard classroom layouts have limitations, mainly due to the dead corners of rectilinear space. By introducing a hexagonal layout, both standard classroom configurations (teacher lecturing class), and informal instruction (group work/study sessions) work well within this configuration. Like a cellular structure… modules can grow, flip, rotate and mirror along any side. The triangular resultant space left over between units is ideal for an entry vestibule space or threshold to an outdoor learning environment. Each side of the hexagon is equal in length, so panels can be interchangeable, some rigid, some non-loadbearing.
