Te Taumata | Lakeview stands as a testament to Gabriel Saunders' commitment to curating environments that celebrate how people live. Collaborating with 94 Feet developers and architects Monk Mackenzie and Architectus, our team crafted a visual narrative that captures the essence of Queenstown's dramatic landscape while reimagining urban living at the edge of Lake Wakatipu.
Our rigorous approach began with deep aesthetic exploration, resulting in visualizations that thread the natural environment through every aspect of the development. The architecture's response to its setting is captured through compositions developed in collaboration with photographer James Newman, ensuring each frame reveals the dialogue between built form and landscape.
The project's complexity demanded our team's specialized expertise across multiple disciplines. Our dedicated styling team curated interiors that speak to both luxury and livability, while maintaining visual authenticity throughout. This attention to detail extends from the ground-level retail and dining spaces through to the residences that crown the development's twelve-story tower.
What sets this visualization apart is our commitment to capturing the unasked for—the subtle interplay of light across surfaces, the careful composition of each frame, and the way seasonal changes transform the space. In collaboration with Fluke Creative, we also produced a film that brings these moments to life, creating an even deeper connection between viewer and space.
This holistic approach results in imagery and film that goes beyond mere representation to tell a compelling story of place. Each visual carefully balances architectural detail with human experience, ensuring that while the scale is ambitious—encompassing co-living spaces and four residential towers—the experience remains intimately connected to Queenstown's extraordinary natural setting.
Through our visualization, Te Taumata | Lakeview emerges as more than a development; it becomes a celebration of living in harmony with one of New Zealand's most spectacular landscapes.
