The St. Anthony’s Hospital redevelopment set out to create a space to anchor the West Colfax and Sloan’s Lake neighborhoods after years of an empty campus sitting in the middle of their community. As part of Block One of the redevelopment, we helped develop Lakehouse.
Sitting at the edge of Sloan’s Lake in Denver, the project occupies a full city block with townhomes, retail, and lobby spaces, fully wrapping the at-grade and below-grade parking. A focus on health-conscious design for residents and the community is reflected on the exterior façade in the form of large garden terraces and oversized balconies to provide better views and connection back to the park and mountains. Key elements of Lakehouse are living spaces that bring the outdoors in and common areas that encourage socialization.
Along with designs for the St. Anthony’s masterplan and associated streetscape improvements, Lakehouse is an example of full-service design, from urban planning and design to landscaping, architecture, interiors, and lighting. Projects like Lakehouse are helping breathe new life into the revitalization of Denver’s neighborhoods.
