Laikovo is a large modern city built from scratch by Urban Group development company in the nearest vicinity of Moscow.
With the span of over 117 hectares, the project will include over 800 000 square meters of residential space, public areas accounting for 50% of the territory. In particular, terrace gardens, with their total area of over 3 ha, will appear on the roofs and alongside underground parking lots located near city boundaries. Laikovo would comprise 5 districts, each having its own thematic and functional content and design of inner-block spaces.
Classical architectural style was chosen for the city, so Laikovo, according to the architects, would become the first modern city to be built in classical architectural style from the ground up in over a hundred years.
