The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) recently launched their Customer Engagement Lab - comprised of 25+ exhibits designed to help everyone from high school students and customers to public officials, professionals and policy makers better understand and engage with the nation’s largest public utility and to introduce the key concepts and innovations that link it’s work to LA’s comprehensive Sustainability Plan. The 11,000-square-foot exhibit area is housed at the La Kretz Innovation Campus in downtown Los Angeles –the City’s cleantech industry hub– the exhibits use advanced media and interpretation to bring to life the sources and methods utilized to bring clean water and power to Los Angeles, showcase emergent and innovative technologies dedicated to Water and Power and to highlight the building’s photovoltaic solar canopy and microgrid system. The exhibits also help visitors understand their bill, rebate programs, identify water and electric saving opportunities in their homes and businesses and how to be a conscientious consumer of Water and Power.
