LoCa Studio opened their winning entry for a Restaurant: L’Actiu
Barcelona Activa is the organization responsible for boosting economic policies and local development, they promote economic activity, encourage entrepreneurship and offer support for companies. The competition held for the restaurant at the Barcelona Activa complex in Poble Nou was won by LoCa Studio.
The Restaurant L’Actiu is an opportunity to create a warm atmosphere using practical and simple items that add flexibility and versatility.
Mediterranean and colorful elements define the space indoors as well as outdoors transforming the originally aseptic space into an open and welcoming one. The new restaurant in Barcelona Activa wants to be a reference in gastronomy, cultural events and after work meetings.
The fact that it had been a restaurant before and most of the facilities were already in place made the construction accommodating. The project was on using easy and low cost elements to reorganize the large main room and add value to it. The interest was in generating a system that made it possible to transform the room according to the number of customers in order to get a cozy atmosphere independently of the time of the day, which LoCa Studio was able to achieve through the newly developed light organization system and flexible furniture. L’Actiu is now welcoming customers
